Acrylic Tape: Typically, general-purpose tape, that is carried by hand or used with a hand tape dispenser. This tape is used to close light-weight cartons but is versatile in many packaging applications. It offers resistance to aging, UV light, and weathering. Other characteristics include excellent clarity, strength, and stretch.
Cloth Duct Tape: Tape made up of three layers; cloth, film, and adhesive to make it moisture resistant and strong, yet easy to tear. It is used in heavy industrial environments but is also used for carton sealing, wrapping, and general purpose. This tape comes in different formulas and colors depending on the surface of the application, i.e., rubber, metal, cardboard, plastic.
Water Activated/Reinforced Tape: Permanent paper tape that bonds instantly to fiber or recycled fiber. It has the strength and flexibility to adhere to regular cartons, edges, corners, and irregular shaped cartons or packages. It can also easily be printed to enhance branding/marketing efforts and is an all-weather use making it very versatile. Other advantages include tamper-evident seal, retains integrity if punctured, only one strip of tape is needed to seal. It has various applications and industries of use. Double Coated Tape: This tape is an aggressive, permanent tape used for multiple different surfaces and can withstand a wide range of temperatures. It is strong enough that it is used as an alternative or companion to screws or glue. It is made in several different styles and adhesives including, tissue tape, film tape, paper tape, foam tape, and cloth tape. Each form of this aggressive tape has its own recommended use. Filament Tape: An engineered tape that is made to work effectively, but is removed cleanly, not disturbing the surface in which it has been applied. An example of a use for filament tape would be securing a refrigerator and freezer door shut during moving. It secures the load but does not harm the surface it is sealing.
Masking Tape: Also known as “painters’ tape,” light-duty tape intended for non-critical tasks. Flat Back Tape: A pressure-sensitive tape that is used in designed for superior performance in heavy industrial applications, such as carton closure, splicing, and tabbing. Its efficiencies include, hand- tearable, easy/consistent unwind, quick tack, aggressive hold.
