Happy summer everyone! We have been loving all of the amazing patios, rooftop dining, food festivals, etc. that Pittsburgh has to offer, not to mention Kennywood! #2. The Eco-Products Paper Straw- Love them or hate them, the paper straw is definitely the 2019 disposable essential of the season. Just make sure that you dispose of them correctly! This straw is our favorite, it’s made of 100% renewable resources and Eco-Products has a reliable supply! (a little insider info- paper straws are very hard to source because they are so “hot” right now)

#3. The 16oz 100% compostable burrito bowl from Sabert- hear us out on this one, although this is called a “burrito bowl,” we find that this container is super versatile. We have customers using it to serve sandwiches, chicken and waffles, nachos, salad, etc. basically this container works for everything. It even has a compostable lid for food on the go.

#4. The Genpak 3 compartment harvest fiber plate- this is a classic option for all outdoor dining and all of the food separators (does anyone else despise their food touching!?) This plate is a good size, has great durability and keeps your food separated. It is perfect for cafeteria style serving and catering events-also 100% compostable. Personally, I see pulled pork, collard greens, and mac cheese on this plate…

#5. The Fabri-kal indulge dessert containers-We can’t discuss patio season without bringing up dessert options. This container reigns supreme for sundaes, snow cones, gelato, pudding, fruit parfait, etc. This container has great clarity and versatility for disposable dessert options! It is made from 20% post-consumer recycled PET plastic bottles and 3 different size options are available.
